Strathcona Vintage Tractor Association - 2024 Annual Tractor Pull & Show ........ Contact:  Sten 780-498-1146, Tom 780-918-4310 or  Bob 780-467-1513

Saturday and Sunday, August 24 & 25, 2024

The Strathcona Vintage Tractor Association is hosting their 19th Annual Western Canada Vintage Tractor Pull & Show just a few kilometers northeast of Sherwood Park on the weekend of August 24 & 25, 2024. The location is at Strathcona County's historic Pointe aux Pins Acres (formerly the Bremner Farm), 53452 Range Rd 225. The site is located 4.5 km north of highway 16 on the west side of range road 225. Decimal GPS coordinates are Lat +53.608333 and Long -113.224722.  Our entrance gate & pulling site is now located a very short distance north from where it was before.

Last year we had 130 pulls each day in 10 weight classes from under 2,500 lbs to 12,000 lbs. Four of those ten classes are available for smaller tractors under 4000 pounds. Tractors must be stock 1960 and older to compete for prizes, but we do provide demonstration pulling opportunities for non-stock tractors if requested. We have a drive-on digital electronic scale for weighing.

There are activities for all members of the family including horse and tractor drawn wagon rides, children's events, a kid's play area, a silent auction, a garage sale, a vendor tent, plus static displays of collector cars, trucks, tractors and vintage machinery. Visitors can also enjoy vintage farming, heavy equipment and sawmill demonstrations plus a noon hour parade of power along the pulling track. Concessions for food and drinks are provided along with washroom facilities and an on-site bank machine. We have grandstands for spectators and large shelter tents for the silent auction, garage sale, and vendors. You are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs if you wish.  We ask that visitors do not bring pets onto the site. A daily admission fee is charged at the gate when you arrive.

Tractor registration and weighing starts late afternoon on Friday, August 24 and continues into the evening and starts again early on Saturday morning (August 25) before pulling starts at 10:00 AM. Pull participants must be an SVTA member to compete. Memberships are available when registering if you are not already a member. We do not charge any additional hook fees. We encourage registration and weighing to be completed on Friday afternoon and evening if possible to avoid delays on Saturday morning.

Pulling events start at 10:00 AM on Saturday and 9:00 AM on Sunday. Parking is available for trucks and hauling trailers during the day and overnight. Campsites are available for overnight RV parking at no charge but you must receive a camping permit from one of our staff. Site security on Friday and Saturday nights is provided. Participants MUST attend a scheduled safety meeting on Saturday morning before pulling begins.

Rules, weight classes, membership info, insurance requirements, pull eligibility, waivers, and other information is posted on our website at www.strathconavintagetractor.com
